Zigpoll x Shopify Flow
If you need to run a custom workflow connecting Zigpoll to some other third party tool or service try gluing everything together with Shopify Flow. Here are some tricks and tips you can utilize to make the most of this integration and hit the ground running.
Select the Zigpoll trigger
- Log into your Shopify dashboard
- Apps Flow → Click Create Workflow
- Select a Trigger. Search for Zigpoll Customer Surveys
- Select one of the following:
Zigpoll Post Purchase/Order Status Survey Completed
Zigpoll Survey Completed
Zigpoll Survey Completed (with email capture)
Understanding each trigger
Each trigger has a different set of data attached to it and can only be used in certain circumstances. Let's break them down:
Building a flow that reacts to survey data
All triggers will contain the response data as an array. You can use this data to create custom flows based on user responses. Here are a couple of examples:
- Send an email to a customer if they submit 5 stars
- Send a notice to Zendesk if a customer answers "Very Unsatisfied" that includes the customer id and order number
- Send a discount code to a customer who heard about you through a specific podcast
These are just a few examples of what you can do with Shopify Flow and Zigpoll.
Using response data in your flow
To create a flow utilizing survey response data, try the following:
- Select your trigger.
- Click Condition
- Where it says IF → click Add a variable
- Select Survey, then drill down into Responses
- Add includes and then enter your response value
- Once your condition looks good, add your Action
- Turn on your workflow
Once you follow these steps you will now have a workflow that reacts to the response data of your Zigpoll survey. You can create as many workflows as you like for all of your different needs.
